Have you ever had sex while on drugs, or taken drugs in a sexual context? If so, we would like to talk to you. We are three researchers from Royal Holloway, University of London, undertaking a research project funded by the Wellcome Trust, which explores how and why people use psychoactive drugs to enhance, or in some cases curb, sexual performance, function, pleasures and desires. Currently, little is known about people’s experiences of sex on drugs. We would like to learn more about:
- Your motivations for using drugs in sexual contexts.
- The types of drugs used and ways in which they are consumed for sex.
- How pleasure can be experienced through ‘drugged sex’.
- The extent to which drugs can change or transform sexual encounters.
We would love to talk to you in person or over Skype, depending on location. The interview will take about an hour and we are able to offer you £10 in acknowledgement for your contribution to the project.
Your participation in this study is strictly confidential. All data will be anonymized and there is no risk that someone might read any future publications emerging from this project and know that you have been involved.
